Meet the Team – Leanne Botwright

1. How did you first come across Shirtforce?

Through the Salesforce community. I kept spotting the designs at user groups and events I was attending. But I think it was at World Tour London, in a very animated conversation with an extremely excited Will Turner, that I truly understood the magic they were creating.

2. What’s your favourite Shirtforce design?

The Love one. I believe in positivity, especially when life feels hard. That design captures something bigger than a slogan. It reflects what Shirtforce stands for. It’s about lifting people up and reminding them they belong.

3. What would be your ideal conference swag?

A tote bag. Always a tote bag. They’re essential on conference day (to carry all the other swag!) but they live on long after the event. Shopping trips, gym sessions, travel days, or those “I didn’t mean to buy this” moments. Practical, reusable, and full of memories.

4. What key part of Shirtforce excites or inspires you the most?

The way it brings the community together. Whether at user groups, conferences, or online, Shirtforce creates that shared “you’re one of us” feeling. Shirtforce doesn’t just fund tickets. It removes fear and doubt. It helps people see themselves in the room before they even arrive.

5. Have you got a key memory from a Salesforce community event?

In 2019, my manager recognised how much the community was changing me and how our small, home-grown org was benefiting from the connections I was making. That’s when they funded me to attend London’s Calling for the first time. It genuinely changed everything.

That experience stayed with me. It’s a big part of why we later created InspireEast 2024’s mentorship programme, which introduced over 20 new speakers, each supported by experienced mentors (our “Salesforce Superstars”). Watching people step onto a stage for the first time was incredibly special.

That ethos of opening doors and backing people before they back themselves is exactly what Shirtforce’s sponsorship programme represents to me.

6. Outside of Shirtforce and the Salesforce community, what keeps you busy?

Marathon training, gym sessions, travelling whenever I can, and planning adventures. I don’t have my own pets, but somehow I seem to be permanently on dog and cat-sitting duty for friends on holiday 🐶🐱

7. What would you rather see in an org, Person Accounts or free-use of Multiselect Picklists?

Free-use of Multiselect Picklists 🫣 (With thoughtful design and governance behind them, of course!)

8. Which community event would you most like to get to this year?

London’s Calling will always have a special place in my heart. But I’m very excited about Czech Dreamin ’26, especially the chance to spend time with friends and colleagues in Prague.

9. What one tip would you give your past self in the Salesforce ecosystem?

Get involved sooner. Show up. Say yes to opportunities. Don’t wait until you feel “ready.” The community makes everything better.

10. If you were a loaf of bread, what would you be?

A fruit loaf 🍞 A little wholesome, a little sweet, and unexpectedly comforting.
